MAINTENANCE: Network Maintenance Fortigate Firewall Update

Description:

In order to ensure the greatest possible stability and availability of our Fortigate firewall and VPN, we will be carrying out scheduled maintenance work on Monday, December 29th, 2025 from 8:00 p.m. (CET). We will be installing security updates on the Fortigate routers in the Berlin BKI and BLU data centers.


Customer Impact during the Maintenance:

  • No customer impact expected

Even if we do not expect any service interruptions during this period, there may still be brief VPN connection interruptions (up to 5 minutes).

The maintenance work affects both VPN tunnels that exist from outside into the SysEleven network and VPN tunnels between the cloud and the PVC platforms.

API SysEleven Stack Neutron API issues in Region DBL

We were facing issues with the SysEleven Stack Neutron API between Dec 29th 2018 and Jan 2nd 2019. Some Neutron API requests were slow, and a few requests might have timed out and failed. The reason was an almost-out-of-memory situation in the software of one of the three SDN controllers. The problem was fixed at 11:26 CET on Jan 2nd 2019.

Network connectivity of VMs were not affected by this issue.

Network SysEleven Stack network issues in region CBK

At the moment we are facing connectivitiy issues in region CBK on one compute node.

We will keep you informed and apologise for any inconveniences.

Update 11:23: The issue is fixed. Reason for outage: The SDN agent on one of our compute nodes crashed because of memory pressure. We are investigating the reason for the memory pressure.

API SysEleven Stack Neutron API issues in Region DBL

We are currently seeing a slightly elevated rate of errors in the Neutron API.

Our engineers are currently looking into them and will update this status page post with more information soon.

We apologise for any inconveniences.

UPDATE 14:30: We determined the impact. The errors are impacting a very small number of attempts to launch VMs. So far only one customer is affected. We are now looking for a solution.

UPDATE 15:30: The issue also affects Neutron API performance. If you are experience any troubles, please contact cloudsupport@syseleven.de
